Hi lovelies! How is it going? I hope everyone's doing fine. It's been awfully rainy this past few days. Today I wanna talk about this bronzer that I've purchased sometime ago from The Vanity Zone. I actually wasn't planning on buying this but Bea (the owner of the vanity zone) said on one of her posts that she adored this so much and she highly recommended this so I just gave in and bought myself one. I'm telling you guys, buying this was one of the best decisions I made (with regards to impulse buying). I never imagined this would be a staple in my makeup stash.
Brand: Wet & Wild
Product name: Color icon bronzer
Product function: Highlighter
Produced in: China
Price: P 350.00
Available at: The Vanity Zone
Much like a highlighter than a bronzer, this baby comes in a really big pan. The shade that I got is in "Reserve Your Cabana". It has a warm undertone so I think this would be suitable for most filipinas since Asians tend to bend on the warmer side of the color wheel.
According to the back label, this product has sunscreen properties that would help prevent sun burn. Octinoxate is a substance commonly found in sunscreens and lipbalms as well as Oxybenzone which is a substance that absorbs UVB and short wave UV rays.
Adds a golden glow and a touch of luminosity to any complexion for a radiant, sunkissed look. Special micronized blend of treated nylon powder adhere to skin to provide long-lasting, blendable color. Contains SPF 15 to protect skin from harmful UVB rays.
Mica, Boron Nitride, Cyclopentasiloxane, Phenyl Trimethicone, Nylon-12, Caprylyl Glycol, Methicone, Dimethicone, Crosspolymer, Alumina, Bisabolol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Glycerin, Dimethiconel/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethiconol [ +/- (May contain) Iron Oxides/ CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, Manganese Violet/ CI 77742, Titanium Dioxide/CI 77891]
The swatch here shows how pigmented the highlighter is. It has a really silky/velvety texture and it blends well to the skin upon application. I love how it just adds a luminous glow to the skin.
One downside though is that it easily shatters and crumbles into bits. This will not be a good companion when travelling given the big packaging and nature of the product.
One good thing about its powdery nature is that you can scrape some of the product in the pan and add it to your favorite foundation/tinted moisturizer/bb cream to give your skin a healthy subtle glow.
I used the highlighter on the high points of my face (nose bridge, brow bone cheek bones, chin and cupids bow). You could really see how it brightened my face. Caution when highlighting: Do not load your face with too much product especially when you have oily skin. You want that natural luminous glow, not that shine bomb disco ball look. Remember to tap off the excess pigments and just pat the brush lightly on the skin.
Let's do a quick recap..
Comes in a big pan. (will last long in your makeup stash)

Helps prevent sun burn
Natural radiant finish
Blends in the skin well
Brightens the face in an instant
Didn't break me out
Not tested on animals
No weird scent
Shade is too light to be considered as a bronzer
Powdery (crumbles fast)
Not travel friendly
Rubs off after an hour or so
No ingredients listed on the packaging
Contains micro-glitters that might clog the pores
May settle in fine lines
Tips and Reminders:
- You need to wash off your face well at the end of the day. The product contains micro-glitters that might clog your pores so be sure to wash thoroughly to prevent breakouts.
- Highlight strategically! Only put product on the high points of your face. The product tends to settle on fine lines so you'd really want to avoid application on unwanted areas (near the eyes, near the mouth, etc.).
My final thoughts:
I would say this product is not bad for P350.00. I like how much product you can get from the pan. Not to mention this product is not only great for the face but for the body as well (especially during the summer season). It gives your skin a nice healthy dewy glow.
Will I recommend this product?
Yes. If you guys are looking for a good highlighter without breaking your piggy banks then give this product a swirl. It's great for people with normal to combination skin types. Also it will last long on your make up stash so it's really worth the money.
Will I re-purchase this product?
No. I need to finish this pan first. I'm also saving for benefit's high beam or Look Beauty's Perk me up.
That sums up my review. Thank you for stopping by! I hope that you guys find this review helpful. Don't forget to comment, like and follow me for more updates. Have a nice day everyone and stay safe.
Go be beautiful!
