My props tools and cosmetics entry

I was browsing my facebook news feed earlier today when Props tools and cosmetics' anniversary giveaway banner grabbed my attention.

Apparently the said brand is giving away a grand prize of over P 2,000 worth of cosmetics to the lucky winners.
Just looking at this lovely flair palette makes me drool...
and the grand prize winner gets to take this Flair palette and brush set home! Lucky!
For the 3 consolation prize winners, each will receive a wink palette. Still lucky!

So yeah I decided to join the contest and posted my entry earlier today (December 20, 2012). Then I found out that it was also the last day. Gasps! hahaha hopefully sana umabot ung entry ko.

The contest is all about "enhanced natural beauty". You'll have to post a picture of yourself interpreting your enhanced natural beauty. That's it. The judges for this contest are Ms. Bing castro of The project awesome, Ms. Joyce Sola of Candy love art and Ms. Chriselle Sy of Chriselle Sy Makeup Artistry.

Here's my entry:
I really wanted to show an effortless look. For me natural beauty is Confidence. As long as I'm confident of myself, my inner natural beauty will surely shine.
Prior to doing my make-up I tied my hair in a bun so that it'll have loose and natural looking curls when I let it down. I used neutrals for this look since I wanted to give off a more subtle look.

The lucky winners will be announced tomorrow December 21, 2012.
Please help me by liking my entry. I'd really really appreciate it.

Until my next post,
Rock on ladies! ☺

Naruto : Tragic turn of events

Seriously! For the past 2 chapters of Naruto(manga), people keep dying..
And not just people but outstanding characters.
I was in total shock after I read the latest update chapter 614.
Let's go over some happenings 2 chapters ago.

In chapter 613, Shikaku and Inoichi died.
Photos from www.mangahere.com
Shikaku realizes that the Juubi was aiming at their head quarters.

Shikaku and the others until their very last delivered their final mission.

Grr seeing these two makes my blood boil..
Well they play the antagonist part quite perfectly.

Then in chapter 614, Hyuuga Neji died.
He was one of my favorites T_T
Why did he have to use his body as a shield?

Then his last words to Naruto...X_X

Awww.. At least he died gallantly.
It's just sad to know that it's the end of the road for one of my favorite characters.
I really admired him alot. He's the perfect depiction of a talented person for me.. Quite the genius indeed.

Prettia foam hair color review

Hi folks! This post has been delayed for quite a while now but here it is.
A couple of weeks ago I ordered a box of Prettia foam hair color from Japanichi.
The product arrived a day after I payed for it thru bank (BPI).
Thank you Japanichi for the super fast transaction.
This product retails for 700 pesos but I got it on sale for 650 pesos free with shipping fee.
This is what the product looks like.
I was really excited to get this and when it came I was super hyped. I instantly wanted to try it out.
The color I got is in Marshmallow brown.
Okay so this was supposed to be the color that will come out after dyeing,
soft yellowish brown color.
When you open the box it would look like this.
The contents inside are as follows:
the developer, hair color, leave-on conditioner, plastic gloves and the pump.

JAPANICHI CLAIMS:
Prettia (Kao Japan) Bubble Foam Hair Coloring Kit is an innovative D.I.Y hair coloring product that uses foam to dye the hair. Unlike traditional hair color kit, it turns the coloring agents into bubbles!! Hair coloring is now as simple as like washing hair. Thanks to this super easy & convenient hair coloring mechanism.
It contains the extracts of Amino and Royal Jelly to minimize the dyeing damage and restore the hair. The dye chemicals can transform into foam to blend into hair evenly and effectively. The formula does not have an unpleasant or pungent smell. The finish looks smoothly shiny and the hair does not feel dry or damaged. Beauty Bloggers in Asia has reviewed it as being an easy and quick application that works for everyone. It doesn't stain and is a permanent hair dye.
IMPRESSIONS:
At first use, I was taken aback by the strong smell of the product. It also stings the eyes specially when you start applying it near the eye area but gradually you'll get accustomed to it and you'll find it super fun to use. I even did this to my hair..
hehehe talk about ursula seaweed hair.
My only struggle when using the product was during application.
I was afraid that the color would come out unevenly and it did.
I got more color on the top and bottom section of my hair.
RESULTS:
My hair color with indoor light
Even though the color application was uneven, I liked the results very much.
VERDICT:
Pros:
  • Easy to use
  • You only need one bottle even if you have long hair
  • Easy to remove
  • Smells better than other hair dyeing products
  • Didn't stained me
  • Permanent hair dye
  • No need to wait for super long hours. Only 30 to 45 mins is already sufficient.
Cons:
  • The product smell is quite strong
  • It stings the eyes
  • You might not be able to apply it evenly
  • Dries the hair.
TIPS:
  • Section your hair into 3 parts. (the lower section, mid section and upper section) this makes application more evenly.
  • Start with the ends rather than with the roots so that you won't end up with hair color only at the top part of your head.
  • If you have longer hair, leave the product on for about 45 minutes to an hour just to make sure that the color applied really well.
  • Deep condition your hair frequently. There would be a high chance that the product will dry your hair up fast.
  • To preserve and brighten your hair color, use shampoo and conditioner that is specifically for color treated hair.
Will I re-purchase this product?
Yes if ever I'll be re-coloring my hair again.

To whom do I recommend this?
To everyone actually. I highly recommend this. It's easy to use and it's super practical.

Where can I find this?
A retailing online store: Japanichi (they have alot of other cool products to check out!)

Lastly I would like to extend my appreciation to Japanichi for the super fast transaction.
Thank you so much! Until our next one!
Well that sums up my whole product review for Prettia Bubble foam hair dye.

My little beauty haul

Hi everyone! I hope you guys are doing fine. ☺
I went to SM San Lazaro last Saturday to pick up some cosmetics and here's what I've managed to get.

Let's go over the products one by one..

4U2's envy Halo concealer and highlighter
Retail price : P 394.00
This was actually one of the products I had in mind when I went to SM
along with the 4U2's Dream girl love light BB powder.
Alot of make-up bloggers have been raving about these products so I wanted to try it out.
Heads up for a review about these products. I'll be posting it soon.

Another product I'm absolutely loving ♥
4U2's Dreamgirl lovelight bb powder in 01
Retail price: P 194.00

Nichido's lip pencil in Rosette
Retail Price: P 100.00
This is another good buy. It's pigmented and very affordable.

Maybelline The Magnum Volume Express
Retail Price: P 349.00 (On sale..I'm not sure how much it really costs though)
I'm not a fan of this one. The formula flaked out on my lashes.

Maybelline Pure Liquid Mineral
Retail price: P 399.00 (This was on sale as well according to the sales lady)
This product has a yellowish shade to it so if you have warm undertone this is good for you.

Olay Age Protect Anti-aging UV Lotion
Retail price: P 199.00
I actually ran out of this product so I needed to grab another one.
Prevention is better than cure. Fight skin aging while your still young.

 Careline Pimple Concealer
Retail price: P 80.00
I regretted buying this one.
It doesn't smell good and it doesn't do what it's supposed to do (to cover up pimples).
No offense to Careline cosmetics but this product is really disappointing.
Still some of their products are worth trying.☺

Shawill Crystal Lipgloss
Retail Price: P 89.00

Nichido Multiple Stick in
Retail price: P 188.00
I'm loving this one because it's really pigmented and creamy. It can act as a blush or as a lip tint.

Coloured make-up wedges
Retail price: P 95.00

Elf Waterproof Eyeliner Pen
Retail price: P 125.00
This was also a fail buy. I was really disappointed with this product.
The tip doesn't glide on well to the skin and the ink smears and fades easily.

Well that's about everything that I've managed to pick up..
There were some awesome finds but not everything was worth the buy.
Well I guess you get what you pay for.

My little Divisoria haul

Hi everyone! How are you all doing?
I've been shopping alot of beauty products lately
and I thought I'd do a beauty haul.

I've been to the new 999 shopping mall in Divisoria
and the place was jam packed with people doing their Christmas shopping.
It was crazy but I've managed to find some cool stuffs.

...and these are what I've manage to get.

#1.) Doll lashes
P 200.00
3 sets of doll lashes
This one is my favorites out of all that I've bought.
I got this at a store named Mini house located at 1P-18-19.

#2.) A box of natural lashes
P 100.00
10 pairs of falsies for only a hundred pesos
I'd say this is the real deal out of all that I've bought.
I've got this at a store named BK Cosmetics located at 1E-09

#3.) Small dome brush
P 50.00
This product I also got from Mini House.
I originally bought this one just to check it out and see if it's an okay product but this baby surprised me alot.
It didn't shed or bleed when I first washed it and I'm pretty impressed by its performance.
It gives accurate application and it can also blend your eye shadows pretty well.
I must say for 50 pesos, this product exceeds what its worth.

#4.) Eye lid glue
P100.00
If you have monolids, you probably know what this product is for.
Basically it's a glue you use to double up your eyelids
but I use this as an eye lash glue and it's super effective.
I also got this from Mini House.

BREAKDOWN
doll lashes............................. P 200.00
natural lashes..........................P 100.00
small dome brush.....................P   50.00
eye lid glue..............................P 100.00
Total spending.........................P 450.00

Well that's about it for my little Divisoria haul.
Divisoria for me is a haven of many awesome stuffs.
If you have a tight budget, I recommend you guys to check out 168 mall or 999 mall in Divisoria.
They offer alot of things from furniture to clothes.

Until my next post,

Olive Oil

Hi everyone!
Today I want to talk about a beauty product
that most of us have in our kitchen and that is olive oil.
Yes, olive oil! ☺
Olive oil has been widely used even during the time of Cleopatra.
Here are some tips and tricks you guys could try out with just a little bit of olive oil.
*NOTE: Be sure to use extra virgin olive oil!
WHY?
Because it is the purest kind of olive oil.
Everything that has the "extra virgin" caption means that it is the purest organic thing there is.
No chemicals added!

#1.) Nail care
If you are crazy with nail polishes then this treatment is good for you.
soak your nails for about 5 to 10 minutes in olive oil and it will make your nails stronger.

#2.) Hair care
Dry and frizzy hair? Then try this method.
Warm about half a cup of olive oil.
Start applying olive oil from the roots of your hair to the ends.
Cover your hair with a shower cap so that your hair would be able to absorb the nutrients from the oil.
Leave it for about 45 minuets to an hour.
This therapy will help lock in moisture and make your hair look healthier.

#3.)Skin care (use as make-up remover)
Used up all of your make-up remover?
Then try this method
Soak your cotton pad with olive oil and
gently press it on your lids.
 Leave it for 3 minutes.
After, gently wipe all the makeup off your lids.
This is gentle and will help moisturize your lids.
Don't forget to wipe off all the oil and wash your face thoroughly to prevent breakouts.

Beauty treatments doesn't have to be expensive.
The most gentle products could actually help you out.
You just have to open your mind to the possibilities.
Well I hope that olive oil has given you a whole new perspective to beauty.
Not only good for the tummy but also for your skin, hair and nails. ☺
Until my next post!
