Today's look is inspired by lavender flowers. I've always loved Lavender. Health wise, it's a great organic cure for acne and sunburn but what I love about it the most is its beautiful color. It soothes the eyes and calms the mind. It's a great inspirational piece for my newly bought palette from The Vanity Zone.
Wet and Wild palette in Petal Plusher
I mixed the shades in the first row of the palette and voila, a hazy lavender inspired eye make up look perfect for dramatic photo shoots.
Here's how to achieve this look.
STEP 1
Prime the lid using your favorite eye shadow primer. This will help hold your makeup in place. It will make your eye shadows look vibrant and smudge proof.
STEP 2
Apply a black cream eye shadow at the outer v part of your lids to act as base color for your eye shadows.
STEP 3
Take a light purple eye shadow and pat it on the inner thirds of your eye lids including the inner corners of the eyes. Remember to pat instead of dragging your brush. This will help fight pre-maturing of wrinkles.
STEP 4
Apply purple eye shadow to your crease and lower lash line.
STEP 5
Apply navy blue eye shadow to the outer V and lower lash line.
STEP 6
Line the eyes with a waterproof eye liner pen for a crisp cat eye flick. Opt for a black eye shadow for a softer look.
STEP 7
Curl your lashes and apply generous coats of mascara.
